In 1969, a group of IBM employees got together (each giving $0.25) to form IBM Southeast EFCU. Who would have thought that a set of quarters in 1969 would turn into one of the nation's largest Credit Unions with $700 million in assets and almost 70,000 Members across the country?
At IBM Southeast EFCU, we have made it our mission to provide our Members with what we call Service Excellence. This means that each and every experience you have with your Credit Union should be a memorable one.

April 9, 2007 - Jupiter, FL:
"IBM Southeast EFCU MacArthur Campus Scholarship” Established
IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union made a $20,000 donation towards a campus scholarship at Florida Atlantic University’s John D. MacArthur Campus, located in Jupiter, Florida. The creation of the “IBM Southeast EFCU MacArthur Campus Scholarship” will support students attending FAU at the MacArthur Campus who are studying biology, chemistry or other “life sciences.”
“We are thrilled to strengthen our partnership with IBM Southeast EFCU and grateful for their generous scholarship support of students on FAU’s MacArthur Campus,” said Kristen Murtaugh, MacArthur Campus Vice President.
IBM Southeast EFCU has 15 branches throughout Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. One of the newest branch sites, located in the Abacoa section of Jupiter, Florida, provides convenient branch access for FAU employees and students, as well as employees of Scripps Florida.
“As a provider of Credit Union services and products for Florida Atlantic University and Scripps Florida, we are delighted to provide this scholarship endowment to Florida Atlantic University,” said Lary McCants, IBM Southeast EFCU President/CEO.
“We recognize the financial challenges facing young adults today as the costs of attaining a higher education continue to grow,” said Dolly Champey, President, PGA Division of IBM Southeast EFCU. “With the formation of this scholarship, we are able to assist eligible FAU students in lessening that financial burden.”
